HOUSING FOR INDIGENOUS POPULATIONS
Hmmm ... So they have a housing problem too ???
MANAWAN - AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL
.
A short while ago I posted a short article on MANAWAN QUEBEC, an Indigenous community North of Montreal that I had ‘discovered’.
.
My curiosity about this community has only increased. I have questions regarding the topic of HOUSING in Indigenous communities. Here’s why …
.
European Canadians frequently use property or home ownership to pass on wealth from one generation to the next. Real Estate is by far Canada’s largest industry.
.
I’ve seen a lot of documentation indicating that most Aboriginals in Canada live in housing provided by our Federal Government. OK … might that not be somewhat problematic ???
Yesterday I found the article below that originated with AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL. It apparently was calling on the Government of Canada to provide Aboriginals with more and better housing.
.
Hmmm …
.
The size of Canada’s Indigenous population is increasing faster than any other in the country. It seemed to me that that would only create a problem that would grow worse over time and would end in disaster.
.
Would it not make more sense to provide Indigenous communities with the skills they’d need to build and maintain their own homes ???
.
Such training would also provide them with valuable Off Reserve opportunities.

Amnesty International today unveils the findings of two years of research on housing conditions in Indigenous communities. The report, entitled Housing crisis in Indigenous communities in Canada: inequality and discrimination. The case of Manawan, documents an alarming housing crisis that requires an immediate response.
.
According to the findings of this research, Amnesty International considers that the right to adequate housing is neither respected nor implemented.
.
“The life stories of the people living in Manawan show that the standards for adequate housing are not being met. Moreover, the rights to education, health, privacy, security and life are neither respected nor fulfilled. This situation perpetuates the cycle of violence against women, girls, children and older persons, and contributes to keeping a large part of the community in poverty due to the lack of quality, reliable and safe housing and infrastructure. Many people are also being pushed into homelessness,” said France-Isabelle Langlois, Executive Director of Amnesty International Canada Francophone.

I found this odd document at the following link. It describes in detail the rules set forward by the local tribe regarding ‘studies’ of their community. As you might expect, it is heavy on respecting Cultural Sensitivities.

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL LIVES OFF OF TAXPAYER DOLLARS. THEY'RE ARE MUCH LIKE THE SPLC.
.
Would they be willing to contribute to the effort ???
.
Fu*kem all. They contribute nothing to society and the housing is provided by the tax payers not the governments along with the $10 of millions they get every year yet these parasites pay no taxes. Not much different from those on welfare, so called international students claiming refugee status, businesses hiring these brown skin parasites and paying 1/3 of their wages while the taxpayers pay 2/3.
Remove our government’s and send these fu*ks packing and that goes for the so called indigenous.
