THE LEADERLESS OPPOSITION
.
Canada is broken. There have always been serious deficiencies in our various Charters and Bills, but recently they have become all too obvious.
.
Background
.
1) Canada’s political parties are run by the Elites for the benefit of the Elites, not the common people.
2) The political parties form the second tier of power and control in Canada.
3) Legacy MSM organizations broadcast the political party’s messages and are largely responsible for brainwashing and control of the population.
.
With each passing day more and more people have been going directly to the Internet to get their daily News. The fact that so many people have been skipping their daily brainwashing session with Legacy MSM terrifies the Elites. The measures implemented by the Elites and governments of the West since 2009 to firm-up their Control are well documented the SubStack article at the following link:
.
.
We the People out-number the Elites by (pick a number) 50,000 to 1 ??? With that sort of advantage, you’d imagine that escaping the Control of the Elites would be an easy matter, but history has shown that is not the case. The government’s use of Divide and Conquer strategies has prevented the people from uniting. The problem is that the political parties, that in theory are supposed to represent our interests, have been used to keep us divided into dozens of small warring camps.
.
Political parties are typically described by their position on a spectrum aligned with monetary and fiscal policies. People take note immediately when they are having difficulties keeping up with their bills, but losses of Freedom are rarely noticed right away. Many might argue that the issue of Freedom is just as important and at times perhaps even more important than monetary issues. History has proven many times now that when a government becomes Totalitarian and Authoritarian the common people soon suffer.
.
The above suggests that there is only one way to escape from this sort of trap. Below I have described a movement that I call the Leaderless Opposition that could accomplish that. Here are the key characteristics it would need to have, to escape the Control of the Elites and political parties and restore the Freedoms we have acquired over the centuries.
.
1) It would be a 100% grassroots movement, one citizen, one vote, no special interests.
2) Citizens would elect representatives based on the Policies that they support, not their affiliation with a political party.
3) The individual ridings would be identical to the Federal ridings, so each riding would have a representative from the Leaderless Opposition movement, in addition to whichever federal politician they elected.
4) Lastly the organization would be leaderless. There are a few pros and cons to that issue, but none are particularly compelling.
.
The purpose of the Leaderless Opposition would be to safeguard people’s Rights and Freedoms. There are a few places where the political spectrum of Rights and Freedoms intersects with that of monetary and fiscal policy, however in general the two are independent of one another. Over time most Canadians have adopted very similar attitudes to monetary issues. The Leaderless Oppositions number one job would be to compensate for holes and the weaknesses in our Charter Rights, and how justice is administered in Canada.
.
Representatives would be elected to the Leaderless Opposition for 4-year terms. Half of the representatives would be re-elected or replaced every 4 years, during elections held every 2 years. The half of the representatives receiving the lowest absolute number of votes in the first election would only serve a 2-year term.
.
During the early development of this organization, representatives would be elected using a simple Internet-based system. When the participation rate reached a minimum level representatives would be elected by using means like that used to choose federal members of parliament. Members elected by this means would be influential in Canadian politics.
.
The sole responsibility of those elected to the Leaderless Opposition would be to represent the people who elected them. There would be many ways to achieve that, and it would be up to each representative to decide how best to do that.
.
Representatives of the Leaderless Opposition would derive their authority from the individuals who elected them. It is anticipated that initially they would likely have far less support than the Member of Parliament chosen in the federal election, but that could change. Over time it is possible that a representative elected to a riding’s Leaderless Opposition position could receive more votes than the Member of Parliament elected in the same federal riding.
.
That is where things could become very ‘interesting’. The Rural-Urban divide in Canada is greater than the West-East split. It is possible and perhaps likely that the Leaderless Opposition could receive far more support in Rural regions than in large Urban centres. The existence of a Leaderless Opposition would emphasis the differences. If the current trend of government to become more Totalitarian were to continue, then those differences would increase in importance. If you examine maps from 100, 200, and 500 years ago it will be clear that the most constant thing about them is that they are always changing. There is a map at the following link that describes the more Rural parts of North America.

.
This may sound very much like a Civil Rights, or a Human Rights group and it is in some respects but note the following three critical differences.
.
Ø There are numerous organizations in Canada that claim to protect citizen’s civil rights, but the reality is that they are typically very leftward leaning groups that often promote Marxist ideologies. They invariably talk about Equity a Marxist term, not Equality.
Ø They are usually directly or indirectly funded by a variety of government agencies. Their ability to oppose government activities is seriously compromised.
Ø Critically their representatives are unelected, and they have little influence and no real power to enforce the will of the people.

Charter Statements
.
“A Charter Statement identifies potential justifications for any limits a bill may impose on Canadian Charter Rights and Freedoms. Section 1 of the Charter provides that rights and freedoms may be subject to reasonable limits if those limits are prescribed by law and demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society. This means that Parliament may enact laws that limit Charter rights and freedoms. The Charter will be violated only where a limit is not demonstrably justifiable in a free and democratic society.”

.
In other words, in Canada our Charter grants citizens Privileges that can be taken away at any time by new bills passed by Parliament. The so-called Rights and Freedoms defined in the Canadian Charter are privileges, not inalienable and God-given rights, unlike those defined in the US Constitution.

LEADERLESS OPPOSITION – A Hypothetical Situation
.
(Just in case you don’t get it yet.)
.
MAY 2033
.
1. 66% of all Canadians voted in last FEDERAL Election
2. 66% of all Canadians voted in last LEADERLESS OPPOSITION Election
3. Federal Gov’t passes Bill to force all employees of the Federal Gov’t to accept the 2030.1 VAX.
4. Liberals with 170 seats (28% of the votes) and NDP with 30 seats (20% of the votes) pass the Bill.
4.1. 28% plus 20% = 48%
4.2. 48% of 66% = 31.7 of all eligible voters
5. LEADERLESS OPPOSITION votes 70% against the Bill.
5.1. 70% of 66% = 46.2 of all eligible voters
.
Support for the Bill by Representatives of the 66% who voted would be 31.7 (of the Federal voters) vs 46.2 (of the Leaderless Opposition voters).
.
Votes on Bills that include Charter or Constitutional Right issues would be held to a higher standard.
.
A Minority of all Voters, (in this example 31.7% of eligible voters), would not be able to deprive the Majority of citizens of their Inalienable, God-given Rights. Not even an absolute majority should be able to deprive a minority of Constitutionally Guaranteed Rights.
.
A Leaderless Opposition organization would compensate for deficiencies in the Canadian Charter, until it can be repaired.
